Our friends Dee and Rick spent one day in Juneau during their cruise and we got to spend the day with them. It was great for Stacy’s skipper from Hawaii (Dee) to see the baby and we made Dee hold Autumn. (she does not like to hold new babies) We took them to the Alaskan Brewery, Mendenhall Glacier and looking for bears. We had dinner with Stacy, Frank and Autumn at the Island Pub before heading off to the Red Dog for Duck Farts. Yes, Duck Farts are a drink (what else?!) then to the Alaskan for one last beer. It was sad to say goodbye and watch them head back aboard their ship… But, it was great to spend our last night in Juneau with old friends from Hawaii!
The next day we met Stacy, Frank, Autumn, Carmen and John for breakfast downtown. Robin tried the raindeer sausage which fought back most of the day… It was very difficult saying goodbye to our new granddaughter because we know it will be a long time before we will see her again and she changes so much every day!
We boarded the plane to Seattle and connected to LA, got a rental car and returned to Mermaid.
Such a wonderful trip! Great to be home and sad to be so far from Stacy, Frank and Autumn!
