Back in Redondo Beach

Robin returned 11-6 from her trip to the BVIs tired, sunburned and ready to take Mermaid to the Caribbean. It was fun spending time on Scheel Delight with Dave, Kathy & Jessamine and the sailing at the Bitter End Yacht Club was amazing! The ProAm is fantasy summer camp for adults. Robin raced, dined and partied with Zach Railley, Anna Tunnacliffe, Ed Baird, Andrew Campbell, Peter Holmberg and Dave Ullman. She has memories to last a lifetime.
While Robin was frolicking in the BVIs Mike was busy with workers and boat projects. The main (brand new main) sail is at Ullman’s loft in San Diego being repaired. Peter has been installing new gauges on the engine (Henry – as in Ford) and will be wedging the mast this week. Nick installed the insulation in the engine room. Robin will be renting a car to pick up the parts at the Long Beach West Marine and saying goodbye to some good friends. Shea Weston will be bringing the new Pactor modem to install and go over our radio equipment. Cuco will be installing the new life raft and repairing a dorad.
We leave Portofino on the 15th and head to the yacht club for a few days. At this point any further jobs on the boat will have to be done in Mexico.
